Planning for the Future, Together

Rev. John F. Schoedel '69

Zoom Meeting Group CallThank you from all of us at Concordia Lutheran High School for your prayers and support during this uncertain time and over the years. You have made a difference! And those of you who have shared that your plans will include CLHS and Concordia Educational Foundation, be assured that the result of your planning will be a major impact for the students, their families and our faculty. Thank you again.

In the last three months, our students have had many new experiences that, amazingly, were popular and innovative, and made use of today's technology. During the past year, a number of software platforms were reviewed to see which one would work for a homebound student. And then, as we look back, our choice of Zoom worked beyond any ideas we had of its success. As a school, we were able to use it at no cost.

And then to hear comments like the one below from parents and others made our planning even more successful:

I am so impressed with this remote learning platform you have set up. My junior participated in it all morning yesterday, did homework in the afternoon, and we both logged in to a meeting about the career internship program in the evening. Everything went so smoothly and it is giving me peace of mind that she isn't falling woefully behind during all of this. Well done!

What about you? Planning is something many of us work at but don't always complete. We have been sending you information on how to plan not only financially but also personally. We believe it is needed and pray that in some way we have been a benefit to you.

My wife and I have reviewed our estate plans to date as we age gracefully, still both working. We know that our five children and 13 grandchildren, from 2 to 22, will need help someday. Although we will not have a generous estate, we know that whatever we do for them, our church and our Lord will help.

If we can ever be of help or you would like more information about planning your estate, let us know by contacting Jenny Grisez at jgrisez@clhscadets.com or (260) 483-1102, ext. 253.
